We're looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join Gro Profit First Accountants in Cheltenham — a full-time, office-based role on Bath Road for someone just out of school or college who's organised, friendly, and ready to start a career rather than just land a job. You'll earn a recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification as you work, with full training the whole way through. You don't need to know anything about accountancy — we'll teach you all of that.
What you'd be doing
Answering the phone and welcoming people in — when a client rings or pops by, you're the friendly voice and face they get. Plus the everyday stuff that keeps an office running (scanning, sorting the post), the accountancy bits (Companies House confirmation statements, setting up new clients, chasing paperwork by following our steps — full training given), and a bit of everything else, including some help with our marketing as you grow into it.
The one non-negotiable
You've genuinely got to like people. At its core this job is about talking to people and building relationships. You don't need to know what to say yet — we'll sort that — you just need to enjoy it.
What we're hoping you bring
You've finished school or college (or nearly), ideally with four or five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths — but if you're not quite there and reckon you'd be brilliant, talk to us anyway. Organised, reliable, happy to muck in, comfortable with the normal phone-and-laptop stuff, and bring good energy.
Where it could take you
This is a start, not a ceiling. You'll begin on the apprentice wage while you train, with a real path to £30k and beyond as you learn and grow — towards a senior client services role, into operations, or even into bookkeeping and accounting.
