Meet the Team Behind Gro Profit First Accountants
Gro Profit First Accountants was founded by Stephen Edwards, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with over 25 years' experience in accountancy. Stephen is a Certified Profit First Professional, certified through Mike Michalowicz's Profit First Professionals programme, and the UK's first Profit First Accountant of the Year (2022).

Stephen's mission is simple: to help every business owner understand their numbers and keep more of what they earn. He hosts the Profit First Podcast, speaks at events across the UK, and has personally helped over 100 businesses implement the Profit First cash management system. His approach combines deep technical expertise with plain-English communication — because understanding your finances shouldn't require an accounting degree.
Our Team
The Gro team includes qualified accountants, bookkeepers, payroll specialists, and client managers — all trained in the Profit First methodology. Every client gets a dedicated team member who knows their business inside out. We're big enough to handle complex accounting, but small enough that you'll always speak to someone who knows your name.

Our office is at 122 Bath Road, Cheltenham, GL53 7JX. We welcome in-person meetings and also work with clients across the entire UK via Xero, video calls, and our client portal. Wherever you are, we make it work.
